You will be working with glass in a various amount of vehicles, such as, trucks. buses, planes, military vehicles, machinery and plant equipment, just to name a few! 

O’Brien Glass have an exciting opportunity for you to begin your new career within the Auto Glass industry by joining our Brooklyn Heavy Vehicle division as an Apprentice Windscreen Fitter!

If you love delivering a first-class customer experience, have an excellent work ethic, want to receive supportive on the job training and receive a full qualification, then this is the right career for you! 

• This is on the job learning with a very supportive Team and Management
• Complete the Apprenticeship within 3-4 years and receive the full qualification from the Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
• You will be paid on competency and not on tenure: eg. you could be paid Level 5 after 2 years but not receive your certification. 
• Willing to stay employed after you have completed your Apprenticeship. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Loading and unloading glass 
• Crane and machinery fitment 
• Cutting glass to specifications provided
• Undergo the O’Brien Cert III in Automotive Glazing through our O’Brien® Auto Technician Skills Development Program
• Develop the skills and capabilities to repair, replace and fit windscreens on Trucks and Buses to Australian Standards
• Learn how to complete re-calibrations for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
• Deliver an excellent experience to our customers
